are routinely used in high-throughput formats to elucidate the roles of specific
genes in cellular processes. However, there area considerable number of
factors that can contribute to the success or failure of a screen that must be
accounted for in order to determine correct gene function.

Information Day for Human Genome Sequencing at SciLifeLab
SciLifeLab has acquired 10 Illumina HiSeq X (X Ten) sequencers, which will form the basis for offering whole genome sequencing to the Swedish scientific community. We are pleased to invite you to this workshop, which will provide information about different aspects of human sequencing, ranging from practical questions about sample handling to ethical issues and the data handling and analysis tools. We will also present the reference database being established as well as our ambition to build a community facilitating sharing of data when feasible and desired by the respective scientists.

Genome-wide regulatory networks of T cell differentiation
Speaker: Mika Gustafsson, Associate professor in bioinformatics, IFM, Linköping University, and Centre for Individualised Medicine Abstract The cost for genome-wide measurements in molecular biology (‘omics) has drastically decreased during the last 10 years. Systems medicine analysing the measurements from thousands of molecules will therefore likely become routine for medical doctors within the clinics. Potentially, this […]
