Gunnar von Heijne receives The Novozymes Prize
The 2018 Novozymes Prize has been awarded to Gunnar von Heijne, Stockholm University/SciLifeLab, for his scientific breakthroughs in studies of membrane proteins. He receives a sum corresponding to SEK 4 million.
The Novozymes Prize aims to raise awareness of basic and applied biotechnology research and is awarded to recognize outstanding research or technology contributions that benefit the development of biotechnological science for innovative solutions. Awardees can have any nationality but must have a current position at a public or non-profit research institution in a European country.
