Meeting with the SciLifeLab Scientific Advisory Board

On February 2-3 the SciLifeLab Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) made a visit to Stockholm and Uppsala.

The SAB consists of ten internationally high profile researchers (full list available here). Their mission is to strategically evaluate SciLifeLab as a national center and research environment, and provide feedback to strengthen the development of the center.

Before the visit they received an extensive report on the center operation since the start in 2010, covering all national and regional units as well as research, innovation, collaboration and outreach. During the meeting all of the national platforms presented their work and the SAB also listened to 15 scientific highlights from SciLifeLab researchers.

The SAB members were highly interested in all aspects of the organization and took a very active role during discussions with SciLifeLab representatives, asking lots of questions and sharing opinions. They will present their collective feedback to the SciLifeLab management.
