Nordic Cryo-EM network established

The newly established network CryoNet aims at connecting experts in cryo-electron microscopy at the universities in Stockholm, Umeå, Århus and Copenhagen. Two of the microscopes that will be part of network are located at SciLifeLab in Solna.

“This effort is a good reinforcement of the research environment around cryo-electron microscopy at SciLifeLab.” Said Gunnar von Heine (Stockholm University/SciLifeLab) who is responsible for the microscopes.

CryoNet has been enabled via support from Knut och Alice Wallenberg Foundation och Novo Nordisk Foundation, granting the network 1 million Euro for four years.
