Our focus is on data arising from the use of SciLifeLab infrastructure platforms, both to promote research on adding value to data, research deriving biological knowledge from data, and infrastructure making data findable and available. At SciLifeLab, we see data as one of the most valuable and long-lasting products of our operations and strive to make our data FAIR, handled according to open science standards and that its long- term value to the scientific community is maximized.
The SciLifeLab Data Centre provides the SciLifeLab platforms with services for IT and data management. We also work to facilitate the communication between SciLifeLab platforms, their users, and the research community, and develop databases and tools. The purpose is to maximize the scientific impact of SciLifeLab generated data and provide a good helpful IT environment for the SciLifeLab platforms and their users.
The SciLifeLab Data Centre maintains the Swedish national COVID-19 data portal. The aim of the portal is to provide information, guidelines, tools and services to support researchers in utilising Swedish and European infrastructures for data sharing.
The SciLifeLab Data Centre has also set up a number of tools and services to help with the collaborative work projects granted financial support through the National Call for COVID-19 related proposals 2020.
The Data Centre built and maintains a database of research assisted by SciLifeLab facilities. Below you can see the total number of research publications assisted by SciLifeLab per year. See the database for specific publications and break-down per facility. Each facility has the responsibility to report the publications.
The SciLifeLab Data Repository, powered by Figshare, is a repository for publishing any kind of research-related data, e.g. documents, figures, or presentations that has been set up for facilities and researchers affiliated with SciLifeLab. Browse through the repository to explore the available data. If you would like to receive an account, find out more here.
