Welcome to two days with information lectures, Drop-In service, mingle, and 1:1 meetings! Experts from NBIS and NGI will come to Umeå on March 28-29 to meet and discuss High Throughput Sequencing with scientists in Umeå.
On Thursday, March 28, we will start in the morning with general information lectures. Elísabet Einarsdottir, Björn Nystedt and Mattias Ormestad from NBIS and NGI will inform about their services. All of them will be also available for a Drop-In session after the seminar which has the special focus on helping with VR applications. You can find more information about the Drop-In here: https://nbis.se/news/2019/02/27/GrantApplicationDropin/
In the afternoon of March 28, everyone is welcome to participate in the bioinformatics mingle and meet and discuss sequencing projects with the experts from Umeå. The purpose of the afternoon is to increase our interactions university wide, share knowledge and to identify the 3-4 most common sequencing studies conducted in Umeå.
In parallel to the mingle, principle investigators and their project members have the opportunity to discuss their sequencing projects and the SciLifeLab services in 1:1 meetings with the experts from SciLifeLab.
On Friday morning, March 29, we will continue by discussing the selected case studies from the Bioinformatics Mingle with the personal from NGI and NBIS. Depending on the demand, we might organise in parallel additional 1:1 meetings for PIs. The event will finish with a final discussion round.
All programme parts are open for scientists at UmU, SLU and NUS.
The registration for the Bioinformatics Mingle and the 1:1 meetings on Thursday afternoon is closed now. If you are interested in participating, please contact the local organising commitee (follow link below).
