DESCRIPTION:Marcus Conrad \n\n\n\nProfessorHelmholtz Zentrum München\, Germany \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBio\n\n\n\nMarcus Conrad is a leading biologist and Director of the Institute of Metabolism and Cell Death at Helmholtz Zentrum München\, as well as Professor at Technical University of Munich and Distinguished Professor at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine. Internationally recognized as a co-discoverer of ferroptosis\, an iron-dependent form of cell death linked to diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration\, his research has led to the development of ferroptosis modulators with major therapeutic potential.
