This is the second event in the SciLifeLab Data Management seminar series Spring 2024. \n\n\n\nWhen: Wednesday March 27\, 10-11 CET (Zoom) \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Wolmar Nyberg Åkerström\, Data Steward\, NBIS \n\n\n\n\nRegister \n\n\n\n\nSciLifeLab Data Management seminar series is an event series by the SciLifeLab Data Centre and NBIS joint Data Management team aimed at both the life science research community and infrastructure\, and others with an interest in research data management in life sciences. The events will showcase how to put the FAIR principles\, and good data management into practice. The goal of the events in this seminar series is to provide interesting seminars around topics related to research data management in general but also to foster discussions around best practices and how they can be improved. The events takes place virtually (over Zoom) and are open to everyone\, (researchers\, staff\, RDM professionals etc.) working at or affiliated with a Swedish research institute or university. DESCRIPTION:Scientific Talk by Dr. Alvaro Crevenna\, Head of Light Imaging Facility\, EMBL Rome \n\n\n\nDr. Crevena’s work focuses on providing access to state-of-the-art microscopy technology\, image analysis and method development. He is the co-inventor of the ‘lifeact’ marker for live cell visualization of actinstructures. Currently\, he is collaborating with companies such as Crest Optics\, Nikon and FLIMLabs to developand commercialize optical systems. He focuses on research support and  development applications of imaging-based spatial -omics technologies as service platforms.

DESCRIPTION:Dear SciLifeLab Infrastructure Team\, \n\n\n\nWe have finally arrived! It’s time for the SciLifeLab Facility Forum 2024. We look forward to your participation in this engaging and informative experience on June 18-19\, 2024\, at the Clarion Sign Hotel in central Stockholm.This year\, the event will bring together 442 participants\, continuing the growth from the first Facility Forum in Uppsala in 2017 with 253 participants\, 338 in Djurönäset in 2019\, and 376 for the last meeting in Djurönäset in 2022. The primary objectives of the meeting are to promote cross-facility collaborations\, increase community feeling among platform and facility personnel\, discuss specific infrastructure issues\, foster competence development\, and provide ample time for discussion and exchange.One highlight of the event will be a session with the current and new SciLifeLab directors\, where they will share and discuss their visions for the future of Life Science and SciLifeLab. Additionally\, the program includes various sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing collaboration and professional growth.We are excited to have you join us! The bus departs from Uppsala BMC\, June 18\, 07:45\, and from Clarion Sign at 15:30 on Wednesday\, June 19.  \n\n\n\nCloakroom & Registration  \n\n\n\nLeave your luggage in the cloakroom\, staffed from 09 to 17 on Tuesday and from 08 to 16 on Wednesday. We can not accept luggage other than small handbags and regular (e.g.\, laptop) backpacks in the Big Hall. \n\n\n\nRegistration opens at 09:00 at the Clarion Sign; the registration area is next to the Conference entrance. Register by showing the QR code that will be emailed to you shortly before the Conference. The nametags are sorted by Last name. \n\n\n\nHotel check-in/out \n\n\n\nCheck-in: The room will be available from 16:00. Rooms at Clarion Sign are available outside the lecture all after the end of the day’s sessions. \n\n\n\nAbout 100 participants are staying at Clarion Hotel Amaranten\, 10 minute walk from Clarion Sign. You will find your keycard at Amaranten. \n\n\n\nCheck-out: Leave the key card by the Hotel reception desk after breakfast. Put your luggage in the cloakroom. To facilitate check-out\, you cannot put anything on the room bill\, such as snacks and drinks or a bar tab. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWorkshops\n\n\n\nThere will be three rounds of workshops\, with two taking place on both Tuesday and Wednesay.
