Omics data analysis: From quantitative data to biological information

The course is an introduction to the methods used for analysis of omics data, and is mostly directed to doctoral students that do not have so much experience of bioinformatics and data-analysis. The first week the focus is on study design, statistical analysis and multivariate statistics, the second week the focus is on biological interpretation; GO, pathways, networks etc. We have theoretical lectures followed by workshops were the students try out different tools  and methods for data-analysis. The students also do a data-analyis project were they analyse their own omics data with the methods we teach during the course.

Course period: 2014-11-10– 2014-11-21 3 credits, Karolinska institutet Doctoral level course, SciLifeLab Stockholm
