Job description

The Division of Affinity Proteomics | KTH at the Department of Protein Science at SciLifeLab is recruiting three postdocs to work on various aspects of affinity proteomics for multiplex protein and antibody profiling of human body fluids. All three projects combine an experimental array-based setup to generate large amounts of complex data, which subsequently is followed by extensive and advanced data analysis. The work will be performed in a highly collaborative environment together with colleagues within the group as well as external collaborations.

Postdoc I:     
Profiling of proteins in plasma and CSF with focus on ALS patient survival and disease progression. (PI Anna Månberg).

Postdoc II:    
Analysis of autoantibody repertoires in autoimmune diseases with a focus on vasculitis and systemic sclerosis. (PI Elisa Pin).

Postdoc III:  
Development of a multi-disease serology capability for high-throughput surveillance of serostatus within respiratory and infectious diseases. (PI Peter Nilsson).

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • As a person you are strongly motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have a background of experimental and/or advanced data analysis within life science, supported by a publication record 
  • You show awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality 
  • For the position, it is required that you have very good oral and written communication skills in English in your daily work.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Extensive experience within the proteomics field with emphasis on data analysis
  • The ability to represent the research group at international conferences and workshops
  • Pedagogical knowledge and thorough teaching experience

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
