Prof. Dyverfeldt’s research focuses on advancing cardiovascular imaging to assess the role and impact of shear stress and turbulent flow in cardiovascular disease. Through technical innovation, multidisciplinary collaborations and use of leading-edge imaging infrastructure, the aim is to improve the understanding and noninvasive evaluation of mechanisms and risk of cardiovascular diseases, including aneurysms and atherosclerosis may cause aortic aortic rupture, stroke and myocardial infarction.
