David explores opportunities (healthcare benefits ) as well as broader societal threats from DNA sequencing thechnology, with two parallell workstreams: (1) A national prospective study where all children diagnosed with cancer are offerred whole genome sequencing. It explores the impact of genetic data on clinical-decision making. (2) A multidisciplinary project on potential misuse of DNA sequencing technology in international power struggles, e.g. disinformation and sequence theft.
