Project Manager

Research work
- I actively participate in day-to-day operations and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. My role involves the following:
Management: Ensuring compliance and generally overseeing the smooth operation of the lab in accordance with the biosafety levels.
Operations: Monitoring and maintaining the lab inventory, ordering supplies, and invoicing.
Support to the research group: hands-on project work. Areas of expertise: Chip seq, chromatin biology, molecular biology, Exploris 120 masspec handling, Illumina sequencing, etc.
Support to the group leader: grant management, planning and booking of events, and travel arrangements for group members and guests.
Biosafety: Chemical registration and waste regulations (KLARA). Make sure all lab safety risk assessments, in accordance with Swedish Work Environment standards, are up to date.
Training: Management of students and ensuring that all team members are introduced to the diverse technologies that the Elsässer lab uses and develops.
Maintenance: Ensuring that lab equipment and instruments function correctly and organising repair or maintenance. Overseeing the housekeeping of the lab and waste management. Routine control of freezers, incubators, etc.
Contracts: Negotiating, establishing and following up on maintenance, PM’s/calibration, consumable supplier contracts and software licenses
