Integrative Multi-Omics Analysis of Progressive Cardiometabolic Diseases

Virtual Event

October 16, 2026 @ 11:00 – 12:00 CEST

Clinical Genomics Webinar Series

Clinical Genomics Gothenburg is hosting this webinar as part of the Clinical Genomics Platform webinar series

Arif’s research focuses on understanding how cardiometabolic diseases evolve through integrative analysis of complementary omics layers.

By combining transcriptomics, miRNA, and proteomics with computational network approaches, cross-cohort validation, and functional studies, he aims to identify reproducible molecular signatures, convergent pathways, and mechanisms that link disease progression to tissue dysfunction and recovery.

Across different cardiometabolic disease contexts, this approach provides a framework for moving from large-scale molecular discovery toward biological mechanism and experimentally testable targets.

Everyone is welcome so feel free to spread the details with anyone who may be interested.

Hope to see you there!

Host: Marcela Dávila, Head of Unit, Clinical Genomics Gothenburg

Invited speaker: Muhammad Arif
Assistant Professor & DDLS Fellow at the University of Gothenburg
