Clinical Genomics Linköping

Clinical Genomics Linköping was established in 2019 as a regional distributed node of the Diagnostic and Development platform of SciLifeLab and the section of molecular genetics at the Linköping University Core unit. CG Linköping is organized at the medical faculty and operates in close collaboration with the clinical NGS platform at the University hospital in Linköping forming the local Genomic Medicine Sweden node GMC-south east.

Applications

We provide expertise, method development and end-to-end service to translational research and precision diagnostics for the development of tomorrow’s diagnostics. Our current disease focus areas are:

• Cancers (including solid tumors and hematological malignancies)
• Rare inherited disease

Services

Our national services within NGS and other molecular technologies include development of methods for clinical implementation or translational research with strong clinical utility. These include, but are not restricted to:

• Consultation (Project design)
• QC of samples for various analyses (Sequencing data, Genomic DNA/RNA)
• Sequencing:
  • DNA sequencing (WES, Panels)
  • RNA sequencing (mRNA)
• Other molecular technologies (Array-based analyses, Digital droplet PCR)
• User access service (DNA/RNA concentration measurements, Automated electrophoresis for DNA/RNA, Sequencing)
• Bioinformatics (Long term service support (embedded staff within a research group), Bioinformatic analysis (data generated at CG or elsewhere), Write the name of the service)

Equipments

Our node has access to specialized equipment that enable us to factilitate the translation of new high-throuput techniques into clinical use. These include, but are not restricted to:

• Various systems for QC, quantification and fragment analyses (Quantit, Agilent Fragment Analyzer, Qubit)
• Instrumentation for microarray analysis (NextSeq550, Affymetrix microarray)
• Instrumentation for Sanger sequencing (ABI 3500)
• Instrumentation for real time PCR and ddPCR (ABI QuantStudio 7 flex, ABI 7500, QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System)
• Sequencing platforms:
  • Illumina (MiSeq, NextSeq 550, NextSeq 2000)
  • Nanopore (MinION)
