Research Engineer in in situ sequencing

Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm University

Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) is a national center for large-scale life sciences with a focus on health and environmental research. SciLifeLab combines advanced technical state-of-the-art equipment’s with a broad knowledge of translational medicine and molecular life sciences. The combination of the highly interdisciplinary expertise and research projects at the department is unique in Sweden and also at an international level.

The national facility for the in situ sequencing (ISS) unit located at SciLifeLab in Solna, is now seeking a research engineer, who performs ISS technology. In situ sequencing enables highly multiplexed RNA profiling directly in cells and even whole tissue sections while retaining the spatial information of all molecules sampled. In order to make this technology accessible to researchers nationwide, the facility provide the ISS services.
