Competition: Communicate your science

Communicate your scientific idea or result to a non-scientist audience, in the most creative way possible. Write a short essay, draw a cartoon, produce a video or sing a song – the sky is the limit! Those are the instructions for the communication competition now launched at Campus Solna.

With the aim of further promoting community building, and boosting creativity in science communication at Campus Solna, a competition in creative communication is now launched by the Campus Solna Science Talks symposium committee.

The scope of the competition is to digitally communicate a scientific idea or result to a broad audience of non-experts, in the most creative way possible. As such, the guidelines are quite flexible, and participants are welcome to submit written essays, illustrations, cartoons, video abstracts, or even songs (max. 1 A4 page or 3 minutes) – the sky is the limit!

The competition is open to everyone based at Campus Solna and the deadline for submissions is May 21. The contributions will be evaluated by a committee of communication professionals and the winners will be revealed at the Campus Solna Science Talks symposium on June 14-16. Furthermore, the winners will be awarded the opportunity to illustrate their research with a professional video cartoon, published in the Fair Journal.
