KI-SciLifeLab Symposium 2026
May 7, 2026 @ 11:30 – 17:00 CEST
Warmly welcome to the fifth edition of the annual KI-SciLifeLab Symposium organized by KI – SciLifeLab Committee!
This half-day event is aimed at everyone in the SciLifeLab community at KI, and anyone else who is curious about our research and would like to connect and collaborate.
The afternoon will be filled with research talks from senior and junior members of the KI-SciLifeLab community.
We are also honored to be joined by two keynote speakers. Andrea Sottoriva, Professor of Cancer Genomics and Evolution, and Head of the Computational Biology Research Centre at Human Technopole in Milan, Italy, will present his research on cancer evolution and treatment resistance using mathematical and computational approaches.
For our second keynote session, we will hear an inspiring lecture from Prof. Claes Hultling, MD, KI researcher into spinal cord injuries, and founder of Spinalis. During a diving accident in 1984, Claes was paralyzed from his chest down, after which he has dedicated his life to increasing knowledge of spinal cord injuries and promoting life quality for persons living with them.

The talks will be followed by a poster session and mingle at SciLifeLab Delta. Please indicate on your registration whether you want to show a poster. All participants including representatives of infrastructure units and committees are welcome to participate. Please note, all KI-SciLifeLab groups are encouraged to show at least one poster representing the research in their group. There will be a poster prize for best research poster!
Seats are limited, secure your spot A.S.A.P!
The event is free of charge, but we highly appreciate it if you update us in case you need to cancel your registration.
