The road to EHDS – How to meet the need for sustainable access and utilization of health data in Sweden?

September 3, 2025 @ 08:00 16:00 CEST

Welcome to discuss how we can together meet the need for sustainable access and utilization of health data in Sweden and Europe.

Target group/relevant actors: Government, authorities/institutions/health data projects, regions/clinics, municipalities, industry/system suppliers, academia/researchers.

During the event we want to highlight the following aspects:

  • the requirements of EHDS and how to go further with needs that EHDS does not fulfil (that we have written about in the report mentioned below)
  • primary and secondary use of health data in a holistic view when it comes to developing the national digital infrastructure for the implementation of EHDS
  • conduct hands-on work through patient case-based workshops to advance interoperability aspects (semantic, technical and organizational)) and data security as well as ethical and social issues. Read more about each workshop in the program.

The meeting will partly be in Swedish
