New sequencing method can be used for clinical diagnostics of chronic lymphocytic leukemia
Today it is possible to use DNA sequencing to improve prognostication and predict treatment response in patients with the most common form of leukemia; chronic lymphocytic leukemia. New results from a research group lead by SciLifeLab faculty member Richard Rosenquist Brandell shows that next-generation sequencing technology can provide equally reliable results as previous methods. The new technique could thus be used routinely for prognostication in chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
