SciLifeLab researcher Johan Elf receives an ERC Advanced Grant

Today, the Swedish Research Council announced that Johan Elf (SciLifeLab/Uppsala University), is awarded an ERC Advanced Grant.

He is one of 185 researchers who receives the grant, whereof only six are working in Sweden. The researchers will share a total amount of 450 million Euro.

“I am very happy that we can start this exciting and challenging project!  We will determine the dynamic structure of a chromosome in a living cells at high spatial and temporal resolution”, says Johan Elf.

He receives the grant for his project “BIGGER Biophysics in gene regulation – A genome wide approach”.
