Self-sampling could double the detection rate of women with risk for cervical cancer

Using self-sampling followed by HPV-test, twice as many women with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia-positive (CIN2+) could be identified compared to Pap smear cytology. This is the conclusion from a study led by Ulf Gyllensten, Uppsala University/SciLifeLab, published in British Journal of Cancer.
