Recruited postdocs

Distributed over two calls, the program has recruited 48 future leaders in life sciences. The first cohort of outstanding postdoctoral scholars from across the world started in October 2025, and the second cohort will join the program in October 2026.

The PULSE program works a lot with diversity, equity and inclusion and has made a conscious effort to reach potential applicants across the globe and from groups less represented in academia, e.g. women. The calls gathered applicants from respectively 27 (call 1) and 25 (call 2) nationalities, of which 67% were female applicants in both calls.
