I am a new Faculty at Uppsala University. I study fundamental molecular mechanisms of life, by determining structure-functional and evolutionary relationships in large non-coding RNAs involved in transcription regulation. Our studies provide near-atomic insights into vital biological pathways such as splicing and cell cycle regulation. A key focus is to use this information for translational purposes, by developing RNA-directed drugs and by using RNA as a therapeutic molecule.
