Professor Peter Bergsten focuses on the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes at multiple levels, including preclinical studies on pancreatic islets, clinical cohort studies on childhood obesity (ULSCO cohort), and leading a multidisciplinary research center (MRC) dedicated to obesity prevention (https://www.uu.se/en/research/strong-research-environments/national-competence-centres/research-center-for-primary-care-based-primary-obesity-prevention).
