Research Interest
My research interests focus on smart microscopy: the integration of automated imaging, adaptive acquisition, image analysis, and interoperable data workflows to make advanced microscopy more efficient, reproducible, and accessible. I am particularly interested in how microscopy systems can move from predefined acquisition toward more responsive and intelligent workflows, where information extracted during an experiment can guide what is imaged next.
From an infrastructure perspective, I am interested in translating these technological developments into reliable services for researchers. This includes making advanced imaging methods easier to adopt, supporting users throughout the imaging and analysis workflow, and developing training and educational approaches that lower the barrier to sophisticated microscopy. Ultimately, my goal is to help create microscopy environments that are increasingly automated and intelligent while remaining flexible, transparent, and driven by the needs of the scientific community.
