The Fernström Prize to Jiri Bartek
Jiri Bartek, Karolinska Institutet/SciLifeLab has been awarded The Fernström Prize (Fernströmpriset) together with Jiri Lukas, Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research at University of Copenhagen. They receive SEK 1 million for their research on DNA damage.
The Fernström Prize is a series of annual awards for prominent Swedish and Nordic scientists in medicine. The prize money is donated by the Eric K. Fernström’ Foundation. The prizes are managed by the medical faculty at Lund University.
