Basic and Translational Research on Fungal-Host Interactions

October 2, 2025 @ 15:00 16:00 CEST

Changbin Chen, Professor

Unit of Pathogenic Fungal Infection & Host Immunity
Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China

Prof. Changbin Chen is visiting SciLifeLab Campus Solna as part of a NSFC and STINT funded collaboration with the Ljungdahl laboratory.

ProjectRole of amino acid acquisition and catabolism as drivers of virulent Candida auris infections.

The Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection has assembled an impressive array of analytic infrastructures, similar in breath available at SciLifeLab, to address mechanistic aspects of infectious disease.

Prof. Chen will present how his laboratory and collaborators examine the virulence properties of fungal pathogens in context of mammalian hosts.
