SciLifeLab Uppsala
Approximately 25% of SciLifeLab’s national infrastructure is located across 15 units in Uppsala. The SciLifeLab research community and units at SciLifeLab Uppsala are spread across both Uppsala University and the SLU campuses.
At the heart of this network is Navet, located at the Biomedical Centre (BMC). Navet is a key meeting place for SciLifeLab activities, welcoming researchers and visitors from across Sweden and around the world. It’s a space where people connect, collaborate, and engage with different parts of the SciLifeLab ecosystem. Adjacent to Navet are host departments for infrastructure units, as well as workspaces for SciLifeLab and DDLS Fellows.
Navet includes 3,000 square meters of meeting rooms, guest facilities, and offices, plus another 8,000 square meters of state-of-the-art laboratory space nearby. Its innovative architecture is designed to foster interdisciplinary interaction and provide an inspiring environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
