The curious case of a leak channel that never wants to be open
November 9 @ 10:00 – 11:00 CET
Stephan Pless, PhD
Professor of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology
University of Copenhagen, Denmark
The Pless lab is interested in the molecular function and pharmacology of ion channels. These complex membrane proteins regulate cellular excitability by controlling the flux of ions across cell membranes in response to a diverse set of stimuli. Their dysfunction is associated with numerous diseases, resulting in an ever-increasing demand for new drugs targeting these fascinating molecules.
