We are recruting three postdocs in affinity proteomics

Research interests

Neuroproteomics, Autoimmunity profiling & Multi-disease serology

The research in the group is devoted to protein and antibody profiling in body fluids based on various aspects of affinity proteomics. This is mainly enabled through the development and utilization of different types of protein array formats using proteins and antibodies from the Human Protein Atlas.

The main focus within neuroproteomics is on multiplex protein and autoantibody profiling in plasma, serum and CSF within amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s diseases, multiple sclerosis and psychiatric disorders. (PI Anna Månberg)

The autoimmunity disorders mainly being explored and characterized for their autoantibody repertoires are currently vasculitis, systemic sclerosis, myositis, sarcoidosis and fibrosis. (PI Elisa Pin)

During the early phase of the pandemic, we rapidly developed a highly specific and sensitive high-throughput multiplex bead-based serological assay for SARS-CoV-2 that has been used to analyse over 250,000 samples. We are now extending the assay to provide a platform for multi-disease serological studies including a wide range of antigens representing various respiratory and infectious diseases. We aim to create a sustainable resource enabling a broad and large-scale surveillance of serostatus where the antibody repertoires for thousands of samples are analysed on hundreds of antigens.
