On December 5, SciLifeLab postdoc Sandra Jernström (Karolinska Institutet) won the Skolar Award research pitching competition in Helsinki, Finland. Her project aims to find a new kind of treatment to cancer by analyzing not just the type of cancer but also the tumor composition. For winning, Sandra Jernström receives a research grant of 100 000 Euros. She is currently a postdoc in the research group of Olli Kallioniemi (Karolinska Institutet/SciLifeLab).
The Skolar Award is non-profit and organized in collaboration with Slush, one of the largest startup events in the Nordics.
