Understanding the data life cycle

We firmly believe that the future of life science is data-driven, leading to major new opportunities to explore and understand biology, human health and changing ecosystems. For this reason, the SciLifeLab & Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS), a 12-year/3,1 BSEK-initiative, was launched in 2020.

A central part of all data-driven life science, is the data life cycle, a complex concept that can be tricky to understand, unless you are a data-driven life scientist yourself. We are now launching an interactive website that will help everyone that wants to learn more about the data life cycle. The site also provides researchers with important links to various services offered by SciLifeLab Data centre and the SciLifeLab National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden (NBIS), for each step of the cycle.

On the second part of the site, we get to know more about our four DDLS research area leads, and how they have been helped by data-driven life science in their own research.

Visit the site here!
