A research article published in Science presents the first major analysis based on the Human Protein Atlas. The study includes a detailed picture of the proteins that are linked to cancer, the number of proteins present in the bloodstream, and the targets for all approved drugs on the market. The Human Protein Atlas is directed by Mathias Uhlén, KTH/SciLifeLab and several other researchers at SciLifeLab have also been involved in the work. Among them are Emma Lundberg, KTH, Gunnar von Heijne, Stockholm University, Jan Mulder, Karolinska Institutet, Peter Nilsson, KTH, Jochen Schwenk, KYH, Jacob Odeberg, and Fredrik Pontén, Uppsala Univeristy.
